NEW ROSA BUS IS STREETS AHEAD
Mitsubishi Rosa is a new generation small-size bus that offers
unprecedented driver comfort and new levels of spaciousness for all passengers, adding
flexibility in transportation applications whether it be for sightseeing shuttle services
or daily commuting.
The new Rosa offers class leading safety for its 25 seat capacity with
features such as "Easy Access Door", head restraining high back seats with seat
belts to all passenger seating positions on Deluxe models and easy to operate emergency
exits.
Rosa is a joy to drive. There is power to spare pulling away from inner
city traffic or cruising down the highway. Handling and manoeuvrability are precise and
assured. The evolution of the small-size bus starts with the new Mitsubishi Rosa.
Rosa consists of 4 variants, all with full ADR 68/00 Occupant
Safety compliance, available in Base and Deluxe specification levels and with either a
Manual or Automatic transmission. The availability of an ADR 68/00
compliant vehicle and automatic transmission in a mass produced omnibus in this class, is
an industry first. Fully integrated air conditioning is standard fitment to all
models.

STYLING
Rosa offers highly distinctive model specifications, Rosa Deluxe
and Rosa Base Models. All feature the new aerodynamic styling which has a low centre of
gravity for great stability. Mitsubishi has utilised large-size sightseeing bus technology
to provide Rosa with unrestricted passenger visibility.

EASY ACCESS
The "Easy Access Door", a new concept in small-size
bus door configuration, provides many of the convenient qualities of the forward
positioned entry/exit door of a larger-size bus. Easy passenger entry and exit are not the
only benefits of the forward door position. In addition, the flat passenger deck unites
the cabin area creating a comfortable liberating environment and entry/exit can be easily
monitored for enhanced safety.

LUXURIOUS COMFORT AND WHISPER QUIETNESS
The interior of Rosa provides luxurious comfort, airy roominess and
whisper quietness for 25 passengers and the driver. |

The flat passenger deck permits easy movement within
the cabin. The passenger seats are vinyl trimmed in the Base model and cloth or vinyl
trimmed in the Deluxe model. The spacious interior incorporates strategically placed
air outlet ducts that deliver cool, fresh air uniformly to every corner. The high
performance manually controlled air conditioning system and integrated forward cabin
heater/demister, with additional blower units located in the rear passenger compartment,
provide all year round comfort.

A CABIN DESIGNED WITH THE DRIVER IN MIND
The ergonomic cabin design enhances driver operation by
optimising view and easy-to-use controls. The cloth trimmed, contoured driver's seat
features sliding adjustment, height and reclining controls plus adjustable head restraint.
Cabin comforts also include AM/FM radio cassette player with four
speakers and a PA system with dash panel and centre aisle input jacks.
A generous glovebox,
centre af dash panel storage recess and a driver's door pocket provide convenient storage
areas.
Additionally, Deluxe models feature a saloon clock and two overhead
storage compartments.
The fully sychronized manual transmission and the short shift lever
allows for easy gear changes while the tilt adjustable steering column offers an optimum
driving position. Together with the option of automatic transmission these reduce the
burden on the driver and allow full concerntration on vehicle operation which actively
promotes passenger safety.

REAL OCCUPANT SAFETY ALTERNATIVE
New Rosa Deluxe and Standard models offer the highest levels of both
occupant and operational safety. Three point ELR seatbelts to all passenger seating
positions with strengthened seat belt anchor mounts. Head restraining high back seats
(except in front of emergency rear exit) are standard. Child restraint anchorages to six
seating positions. Complementing this high level of occupant safety is an equally
important level of operational safety with all models featuring emergency exits that are
clearly defined and easy to operate, front disc brakes, anti lock brake system, speed
limiting to 100km/h, front and rear underview and access door mirrors and left hand front
safety view window all enhance Rosa as the Real Occupant Safety Alternative in the 25 seat
small-size bus.

POWER AND PERFORMANCE

Rosa is
powered by a class leading direct injection, turbo charged and intercooled 3.9 litre 4
cylinder diesel engine which delivers 105kW of power and 412Nm of torque, giving you power
to spare when pulling away from in-city traffic or cruising down the highway. Operational
safety is enhanced further with the added bonus of an installed electronic "Road
Speed Limiting Governor", with a set speed of 100km/h. Rosa is available with 6 speed
manual transmission or 4 speed electronic contral automatic transmission with
power/economy mode.
For a smooth ride, Rosa features independent front suspension in
combination with coil spring and a lateral leaf spring. Long taper leaf rear suspension
with a stabiliser bar suspend the full floating, rear axle assembly. Double acting shock
absorbers are on both the front and rear suspension. |

A NEWLY DESIGNED MONOCOQUE BODY
Based on a
pressed girder construction of pillars with spot welded outer and roof panels, the
"semi-integral" (monocoque) structure provides the body with exceptional
durability and a high level of bending, torsional and side rigidity. The strong and rigid
body also helps isolate outside noise to ensure a quiet environment inside.
